my new find. i stopped going for facials after a cosmetologist made my face swell and i could not even open my eyes! my husband gave me a gift certificate for a facial last christmas. and i took the plunge and used it. oh my! what a different experience! i recommend going to pure skin napa for a facial if you are ever in the napa area. and michelle placed this moisturizer on my face that makes your skin feel so cool but not sticky. like the tingle you feel after a mint tic tac. and the other advantage to this cream is that it made the little signs of congestion on my forehead and my acne disappear! I've finished the 2 sample sachets michelle gave. got to get me a tube of this one!!

Lady Gaga at the Oscars

my favorite things, sol do la fa mi do re, you can sing most anything! ... yes the sound of music. that to me is a classic. oh please stop trying to remake it. julie andrews and christopher plummer are irreplaceable. but tonight lady gaga, i am not a fan, but she did a really good job with the sound of music tribute.

happy GOAT year

year of the goat. the prediction is that my rabbit will have a good year. hmmm... gotta find ways to work on that prediction. astrology to me is a guide. its not going to do anything on its own. you still got to do the hard work to reap the rewards.

on another note...the priest's homily for ash wednesday was heal the world make it a better place. ha!  good luck to the world! i think the world needs to ask the goat to give it a good year too.

OTTAVIO best lasagna

lasagna. to me it usually needs a good meat sauce for me to like it. valentines day we had dinner at ottavio in walnut creek. i was initially reluctant to try the lasagna as i saw the only thing next to the name was asparagus. and in my mind asparagus and lasagna, really?! it was good that i ordered it as to me that was the best lasagna with no meat sauce. now my challenge is to come up with a recipe that will come close to that taste.
